Position Summary

Olympic Plumbing Technology is hiring a Drain Technician / Sewer Specialist to join our growing team in Olympia, WA.

This is a high-impact role for someone who can diagnose drain and sewer issues, perform drain cleaning, and present solutions to customers. This position combines technical skill, customer service, and sales, with strong earning potential through commission.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform drain cleaning services on residential and commercial systems
• Conduct camera inspections to diagnose root causes of issues
• Identify opportunities for long-term solutions such as sewer line repair, replacement, or repiping
• Present Good Better Best options to customers on qualifying calls using ServiceTitan
• Educate customers on findings and clearly explain recommended solutions
• Follow the company sales process from initial service through job closeout
• Offer membership programs to eligible customers
• Accurately document findings, recommendations, and job details with photos and notes
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and internal teams to coordinate next steps
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked vehicle
• Participate in ongoing technical and sales training
• Assist with after-hours or weekend service rotation as needed
• Deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in drain cleaning and plumbing systems preferred
• Strong communication, customer service & sales skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail in fast-paced environments
• Self-starter mindset with the ability to take ownership of jobs from start to finish
• Ability to coordinate multiple moving parts including materials, scheduling, and communication across teams
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot drain and sewer issues
• Comfort working in a role that includes both technical service and performance-based expectations
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to work independently in the field

Compensation: 52K-62K plus commission ($100K +)
